Saduing by Bader Almansour - Art exhibition

Passed by Beit Alsadu to see the exhibition "Saduing" by the Kuwaiti artist Bader Almansour (@baderart in IG), and I was impressed!

Although I am following his work in Instagram yet in reality it was a whole new ball game. He did not only recycle, made wonderful pieces from scrap, he reshaped our identity. First stop is with the two fonts he made, the first is through using the triangles in the sadu patterns, to create letters close in "Shape" to the Arabic alphabet, The second font relies on angles, where an angle represents a number corresponding to the letter order in the Arabic alphabet

Wood pieces from a famous board game (Keiram - كيرم) were used in shaping sadu patterns!

He also used keyboard keys to reshape sadu, creating paint-less art

Those and one more were closer to my heart since I love abstract and geometry, the good thing about his art is that you will never find any conventional medium :} and if you did, it would be an outlier, the norm with Bader is the abnormal

I took a lot pictures of pieces that I did not show and only plan to show after the exhibition ends, I highly encourage you to go in person, see the use of different materials and mediums used to represent Sadu, I will definitely go back to see the works and attend his lecture that was planned to be held today, but got postponed.

Bader Almansour, is not only an artist he's a phenomenon, utilizing art to represent his ideas by bypassing "the norm" using recycled material, and he went far to produce fonts! The cultural content of this exhibition was very rich, varying from visual art to text and language, the idea of transforming a traditional Bedouin craft to art is impressive at its own, and Bader went further.

What made me fall in love with this exhibition other than my fascination of Sadu, the idea of exporting our culture, the works displayed did not only recycle used and neglected man-made things, they also brought life back to a much neglected part of our culture, which we limited to clothing or apparel, which reminds me, he even made clothing pieces and furniture! HENCE the post and my fascination. Saduing took it further in all scales, I highly recommend everyone to visit it, stop by even for a few minutes :} Sadu house is located on the Gulf Road, next to the national museum and Albader house.

زرت اليوم معرض الفنان وليد الفرهود في قاعة عبدالله العدواني في ضاحية عبد الله السالم، سمي المعرض بـ وطن الشعراء، ليحمل لوحات فنية من الخط العربي كتب بها ابيات شعرية لمجموعة من شعراء الكويت

 

اللوحة تحوي كافة الشعراء اللي شملهم الفنان في اعماله الفنية ، اللي تناصفت بين جمال الفن التشكيلي و الخط العربي

اكثر ما لفت نظري في لوحاته الفنية التركيب الهندسي، رأيت في كافة اللوحات تركيبات هندسية معينه، و شدني دمج الزخارف مع الخط العربي و التصميم التشكيلي ، لوحات جميلة من الفنان الكويتي وليد الفرهود، انصح الجميع بالمرور للقاعة و الاستمتاع بها و التحدث مع الفنان الذي كان متواجدا للشرح و السؤال و الحديث عن فنه. المعرض مستمر حتى ١٩ يناير الجاري.

Jeffar Khaldi @ Dar Alfunoon

I went to Dar Alfunoon for the exhibition of Jafar Khaldi (As written in the invitation), a Palestinian Artist, who I just knew from the gallery about.While speaking with the lovely Lucia Topalian, the Manager Partner of Dar Alfunoon, that was generous enough to spare me a few minutes and explain the Artist's work and a bit about him, she noted that his name is Jefar and not Ja'afar! An old Arabic name, meaning "Strong Lion".

ذهبت لمعرض الفنان جعفر خالدي (كما كتب بالدعوة)، فنان فلسطيني، عرفت عنه من خلال دار الفنون، و من خلال حديثي مع مدير دار الفنون ، الجميلة لوسيا توبوليان التي تكرمت و شرحت لي اعمال الفنان و نبذة عنه، ان اسمه "جيفر"! و ليس جعفر!! و ان اسم جيفر عربي الاصل، و بعد البحث توصلت لان اسم جيفر يعني الأسد الشديد.

Happy Feet

Some works were pictures printed and then painted over, others were oil paint on canvas, YET the paintings were very close to pictures, in a weird vivid yet washed up way!

بعض الاعمال كانت صور مطبوعة و فيما بعد تم تلوينها، و البعض الاخر عبارة عن رسم يدوي بالالوان الزيتية على الكانفاس، لكن الملفت بان اللوحات الزيتية المرسومة باليد كانت قريبة للصور، بطريقة حيّة و ممسوحة!

Me Laden

His "Me Laden" was impressive, the repeated features in the Laden'like face was really eye catching, the Jews dancing around and Qubat (= Dom) Alsakhra behind, that BTW many mistake as being Alaqsa Mosque, one of the 3 holy Mosques in Islam. I liked how pale the colors are, yet the point he was making is very strong (I always relate color shades with the idea), to me I saw it as a painting to mock the "Bin Laden" phenomenon and how in other parts of the world others are occupying countries and dancing around :} Nonetheless, I have no problem with Judaism but a huge one with Zionism.

لوحة "أنا لادن" كانت مبهرة، الملامح المكررة في الوجة المشابه لوجه بن لادن لفتت نظري، يهود يرقصون و في الخلفية قبة الصخرة الملاصقة للمسجد الاقصى و التي يخطئ الكثيرون بالإعتقاد بأنها هي المسجد الاقصى، احد المساجد الحرم ال٣ في الديانة الإسلامية (و الحرم القدسي في فلسطين يحوي عدة مرافق/ أجزاء من اهمها مسجد القبة و المسجد الاقصى). احببت الالوان الباهتة، و قوة الفكرة على الرغم من هدوء الألوان (لطالما ربطت درجات الالوان بالفكرة)، بالنسبة لي رأيت سخرية الفنان من ظاهرة "بن لادن" في حين انه بأجزاء اخرى من العالم نرى اشخاص يحتلون دول و يرقصون :) ولا مشكلة لدي مع الديانة اليهودية و لكن مشكلتي الكبرى مع الصهيونية.

The Anger: Images of the Arab Spring Demonstration, with Punk Rock

I took a pause infront of this one in particular because I had a conversation not long ago, regarding how we should segregate the feelings we have around the acts of crowds, once a whole crowd is unified on one thing, a word, a dance, a movement! When is this an act of the crowd and when is it "holy", when a person is humble (convinced) or merely acting like others.

امام هذا العمل وقفت لفترة، اتفكر بحوار قبل فترة قصيرة، فيما يختص بالتفرقة ما بين المشاعر التي تنتابنا في تصرفات الحشود، عندما يتحد حشد مجموع على شيئ واحد، كلمه، رقصة او تحرّك (هدف)! و متى يكون هذا الفعل من نتاج الجموع او "مقدّس"، متى يكون الشخص خاشعاً (مقتنعاً) أو مقلداً للآخرين.

My favorite paintings were for Omar Almukhtar and another for Moshe Dayan! I won't elaborate on them, go see them :) You can google his name, take a look at a few more of his works in this webpage and I highly urge you to go visit Dar Alfunoon, the exhibition is running from 12.12.2011 to 5.1.2012.

Sami Mohammed the artist, the art!

I went to Sami Mohammad art exhibition, and found the most amazing surprise Sami Mohammad himself, had the most enlightening and easy conversation ever! A true artist, down to earth and eager to let everyone know about his art and what it means.....

This sculpture has a strong message written on it that explains Sami Mohammad's art, "freedom for those who have NO voice". He said, I paint from our reality, I sculpt our suffering, the human being in this region "the Arabic world/ middle east" is SUFFERING , Bronze is a metal that stays for hundreds of years, that is the age Sami Mohammad wants his art to live for if not more. Even if we vanish, this art will stay to tell our story and show how human beings have suffered, as he said to me.  We suffered in the Invasion didn't we?! He asked me strongly when I was a bit calm when I accepted his information about "why pain?" and explained his vision of how through his art he tries to send a timeless message

تحت هذه المنحوتة كتب الفنان سامي محمد "الحرية لمن لا صوت له" و اسماها "انا صوت ،، من لا صوت له" يعبر سامي محمد عن طريق منحوتاته المصنوعة من البرونز عن معاناة الإنسان في منطقتنا ليعكس من خلال معدن سيعيش لمئات من السنين تاريخ عالمنا العربي ، و من واقع الكويت و مرارة تجربة الغزو حاججني بشدة عندما اظهرت هدوئي حول ما يسرده لي من اسباب حول تجسيده للمعاناة الإنسانية دونناً عن غيرها من خلال منحوتاته التي تظهر مقداراً كبيراً من الملكة الفنية التي يمكنه تسخيرها لتجسيد ما يريد، فهمت نبل رسالته و بعد نظره 

Sami's work varies between sculptures and paintings, I used to lean towards his sculptures although I liked some of his surreal paintings, however, in this exhibition I fell in LOVE with his paintings more than I thought I would! This is the Red side of his "Sadhoweyat" that comes from the traditional Arabic art of wool weaving called "sadhow" that is made into various materials used by the Bedouins in the Gulf region to make furniture/covers/tents ...etc. He inserted this beautiful traditional art into his work in many amazing ways :}

Now this is the sculpture that originally made me LOVE Sami Mohammed its called "Paralysis & Resistance" it made me think how can someone get this brutal scene of a person with a scarf through his eyes and with such a terrible scream to look so .... touching! It made my heart ache just by seeing it, which made me realize how powerful his art is, and there, just like that I fell for his work!

المنحوته اسمها "الفارس العربي"، فرس رشيق و جميل يمتطيه فارس بلا جسد ولا رأس، لكن ب غطاء رأس عربي (غتره او شماغ لا يهم) سألته عنها و انا احمل بداخلي تفسيرها الذي توافق مع تفسيره، على الرغم من وضوح المنحوته الا اني احببت ان اسمع ما لليدين التي صنعتها من فكر ... أخبرني بان الشكل عربي و فارس وليس له جسد ولا رأس لاننا لم نعد نمتلك تلك الفروسية التي كانت مميزةً لنا من بين الشعوب، و بدلا منها احتفظنا بشكلها بعيداً عن مضمونها

This one attracted my attention the most :)

I have attended several art exhibitions, this is the first one that I attend "after the opening" and the artist is present and I have the guts to speak to him :> It was a remarkable conversation that I do not want to share fully since I didn't document it and don't want to write inaccurate information , yet it will remain the most touching one, it came from an artist that I adore and his work relates to my culture FULLY! Also when he spoke about his work I got attached more than ever with his mentality and amazing creativity.... Thank you Sami Mohammad the artist, thank you for this art and a HUGE thank you to Gallery Tilal for hosting such an amazing local artist :}

I am very sorry for the delay in writing this post about the exhibition for the Kuwaiti artist Sami Mohammad held in Gallery Telal , its still ongoing and will end at the 13th of this month ,, Will have another post about it once I visit it and I will talk more about Sami Mohammed the Kuwaiti artist that attracted me with his sculptures

Sami Mohammad remains faithful to the subject of “Humanity”. The human tragedy, human suffering and suppression and man’s quest for freedom, love and peace.  Although the subject has been used before Sami Mohammad made a conscious rebirth and interpretation of the topic.  His ability to tell the history of many nations around the world in wordless sculptures is commendable.

This exhibition unifies mankind recognizing man’s basic need, freedom.  His artwork roars with “Rage of Pride” demanding the elimination of the aggressor and restoration of man’s free will!

Kuwaiti Artist Sami Mohammad (art creativity), born in 1943 in a region east of Kuwait. He studied sculpture at the Fine Arts College in 1970, and obtained an honoring diploma from Cannes Sur La Mer in France in 1970. He is one of the founders of the Kuwaiti Association for Formative Arts established in 1967. He obtained several local and international awards, and was charged by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature with designing the encouraging state award in 1993 and designing and creating the honoring state award and medal in 2000.

He was granted the encouraging state award in 1999 by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature, and obtained a honoring and financial award at Tehran International Biennaial  for the year 2001, and executed a field project about the Kuwaiti woman in 2001.

Mirzam Manifesto Lecture

Mirzam Manifesto lecture by Jassim Al-Sadah was held today in Al-Americani Hospital "Cultural Center", which is the second event of the 17th cultural season by Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah (DAI). I did not have a chance to attend the first exhibition Anas Alomaim and Jassim Al-Sadah did back in January 2010 held in The Number 4, but was really excited to see the work published in the 4 blog and the Mirzam Manifesto blog. However, DAI allowed us to have a re-run! To be more exact a view of the work behind The Mirzam Manifesto, oh and on the name check this post :} says it all.

Came a bit late caught up with the second slide! Um-ilsa'af which is a fictional character used to be in old Kuwaiti stories to scare kids, sort of a witch riding palm leaves (= a broom) that steals kids who don't sleep at night, which he took up a notch! And come to think of it our culture did too lol, why scare kids to sleep...! ANYHOW

Here is Jassim explaining the piece called "Um-ilsa'af" which was really REALLY nice, where he mixed a woman figure with palm leaves swirled around her and an a few calligraphy lines from the old song-like lullaby related to that character. He made a box with "Um-ilsa'af" looking like a normal woman outside and scary with black in the inside, creativity was easily manipulated in a beautiful way :)

Then he showed more work related to Arabic pop-culture and the western one, the merge of both without loosing the Arabic identity, he showed us some amazing posters, bringing Western movies into the Middle Eastern Movie and Music stars, with a twist. In addition to his work in Cafe Bazza (which I accidentally went to yesterday and loved the interior + music! Yet it was a bit pricy for local food), you can see the pictures and the music in iLSuL6ana blog, or pay them a visit.

What I have seen today is modernly old, a touch of the past with a present view, the merge of the two time periods was successful and artistically enjoyable :}

The Speaker's Progress - دار الفلك

The moment I received the invitation from Dar Alathar Alislamiyah and Saw Sulaiman Albassam's name I smiled with joy! I have seen previously two plays for him, Kalila Wa Dimna & Richard iii, both were amazing, I have done previous reviews in English then in Arabic however this one needs to be in both, post is not a translation from one language to another and the English part will be somewhat a short version of the idea.

 Here is the big screen, and Sulaiman Albassam doing his part of the act in the play, playing him self in 2015 where he's in a time where all art forms have been banned by religious dictate. He gets his hands over old recorded art-related material, a concert, an interview and a play, originally done in the 1960's an Arabic adaptation from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. The Director, holds a gathering, a private gathering that the authorities wouldn't mind, since its a private one! With individual invitations to people :} giving a BIG hint on the latest gatherings fuss in Kuwait.

In that gathering, where he, us the audience & a group of volunteers who will perform the play again, in a trial to show a piece of art from a past time. Through the act he sends a lot of messages, against extremest who try to bind anyone with rules related to religion or what they prescribe as a religion-related rules. A hidden theater in a time of oppression, a spot of enlightenment when darkness is enforced.

كتب على بطاقات الدخول "دعوة خاصة" و تحت هاتين الكلمتين سطر فارغ، قبل بدء العرض حرص المنضمون على تزويدنا بأقلام لتعبئة اسمائنا في هذا السطر ،، لم نفهم لماذا

استهل المخرج المسرحية باعلامنا بالحقبة التي يحاكيها، و هي المستقبل من الآن، في زمن منع فيه الفن و المسرح، و سادت فيه قوانين تدّعي و يدعي من يتمسك بها بان لها صلة بالاسلام و الدين، و لانه اصبح متفرغا كونه مخرج مسرحي لا يمارس عمله، فوجد وقتا للبحث، و من حسن حظه قد وصلت ليديه تسجيلات مهمة ، لحفلة غنائية، مقابلة و مسرحية، كلها تعود لفترة ال١٩٦٠ ميلادية، و هي الفترة التي ازدهر بها الفن

و بعد المقدمة اعلاه نوه، بان البطاقات التي نحملها هي دعوات خاصة، و الاجتماع الذي نحن به هو اجتماع خاص، لذا لا يستدعي القانون اي اذن لتواجدنا في هذا المكان و ذيل هذه المعلومة بصيانة الدستور للفرد حرية الرأي و البحث العلمي، و ما سيحصل هو من باب البحث و التفحص بحدث كان.... و عليه ذكرني كثيرا بالإشكاليات المفتعلة بخصوص تجمعات الافراد مؤخرا (ابتداء من ٨ ديسمبر و تباعا) ،،، و بدء العرض

عرف المتطوعون بانفسهم ،، الصورة الاخيرة اعلاه ، و هم في ملابس موحدة اللون مع معاطف المختبرات و بدون لمسات لونية او اي حس من ذوق المرتدي لها،، و بباعٍ محدد بمسطرة بين الذكور و الإناث، انطلق العرض داخل العرض! بمساعدة من خبير اجنبي مع الاستعانه بما تم الحصول عليه من تسجيل للمسرحية في شريط قد تلفت او اتلفت اجزاء كثيرة منه ، فتم عرض البعض ، ايماء البعض و تمثيل البعض الاكثر

لكي لا انقل حرفيا ما حصل في المسرحية ساحاول ان اسلط الضوء على حبكة المسرحية الستينية التي تم اعادة تمثيلها و تبهيرها ، و تلك التي كتب شيكسبير و المسماة بالليلة الثانية عشر. تدور احداث القصة حول مربع حُب! اخ "فواز" و اخت "فوزية" تفرقهم الضروف و الاخت لا تعلم مصيره و هناك شك بموته، تصل لبلاد اسمها "اليال" و تسمع بقصة شيخ تلك الدولة الذي افتتن ب "ثريا" والتي قررت الحداد على اخيها ٤٠ يوم في ٤٠ يوم! و عليكم الحساااب

و قرر الحاكم بان يكافئ من يغني له اغنية حب تلين قلب ثريا و يغريها بالزواج منه، بمقدار ٤٠يوم من العائدات النفطية... سمعت الاخت فوزية و قررت ان تصبح رجل و سمت نفسها بإسم "فوز" التي و بعد وجودها بالقصر لفترة وجيزة يرسلها الشيخ لثريا، و بعد كيلها لكلام الغزل لتلك الثريا تقع ثريا صعبة المنال، في غرام الغلام المرسل لها ،، فواز

و فوز "فوزية" تحب الشيخ ،،، والشيخ يحب "ثريا" ،، و ثريا تحب "فوز" المعتقد بانه ذكر و استمرت بحبه بعد ان علمت انه انثى ،، لماذا مربع حب؟ لانه لم يكن مثلثا يتصارع فيه اثان على حب واحد، بل هم ٣ يتصارعون على ٣ قصص حب مختلفة، و تربعت العلاقة بحب "الملا" لثريا ،، و هو شخصية المتدين و القريب من ثريا، تحديدا من العاملين لدى والدها و بالتبعية لديها بعد وفاة والدها

و يتدخل في تعميق الفرقات و التعقيد لهذه المعادلة ،، خال ثريا - ابن عم الشيخ - ابن اخ "ابن عم الشيخ" و نشامي

خلال الاحداث يمطرنا البسام برسائل ثقافية عن اهمية الفن و جماله، و قبح الرقابة التي تحول الانسان لكتلة تحركها الشهوات و اللذات بدلا من ان يكون بكل بساطة ،، انسان! يرحل بنا ما بين النص المسرحي الشكسبيري لذلك المعاد تمثيله في الستينات مرورا برقابة العصر المستقبل الذي يحاكيه في عمله، نقدا لتلك الحقب و سخرية من العقول التي تحد لإنسانيتنا ظوابط و مرورا بصمتنا

لا يخلوا العمل من الطرافة التي تدمج ما بين العامية و الفصحى من حيث اللغة، و زلات الممثلين العفوية بشكل متعمد، و تجسيد حب الناس للفرح و الفن بشتى لغاته و اشكاله، و الأهم حب الإبتسامة و الحرية، و نظرية المؤامرة! فالبنشرجي يعتقد بان المخرج متآمر ضده

Park Mellat Cinema Complex - Iran

In the latest issue of Brownbook magazine I read an article about Park Mellat Cinema Complex in Iran. The architecture is very impressive



I wish if they added the English language to Mellat Cinema official website, the building is designed by architect Reza Daneshmir, who made a piece of art to display the art of cinema in it. Having a locally made art with in an art piece is very impressive, I admired that Mellat Cinema Complex is built creatively for the display of one of my favorite visual arts in the present time :)

soft pastel

one of my first "color/ texture" trials with oil pastel

This is by soft pastel , also a try to feel the colors texture on paper, for some reason I find a great joy with messing up my fingers with colors :p

Oil pastels are easier to handle, soft are very tricky and messy! yet more enjoyable and their colors are paler .. still trying them out to know what can I do with them ..

He set the Guinness world record twice! for the largest nail mosaic and again for the largest toothpick mosaic, I thought his work is amazing and very creative

الأخت هبة بوخمسين مشكوره اعطتني الرابط التالي لما كتبته في رثاء الراحل الفنان محمد الأيوبي، و ماقاله المقربون منه تم ذكره في تلك المقالة، دخلت المعرض وحيدة فكنت انا و اللوحات "نتساير" أحكي لها ما حصل معي حتى وصلت لها و تبادلني بالصمت و الإكتفاء بجمالها، لعل أكثر ما أثارني هو الوجوه، في رسومات محمد الأيوبي لاحضت ارتكازه على الوجوه و اللعب بتفاصيلها و أن ريشته تعبث بالوجوه بعد اكتمالها! و اعجبني طريقة رسمه التي توحي بانه تم تصوير الوجه متحركا في اللوحة بدلا من ان يكون ساكنا

اللوحات المعروضة أثارت فضولي و تمنيت أن يكون موجودا ليستكمل مسيرته الفنية، رأيت الجمال الذي خلفه و شهدت حرفيته بالتفاصيل فلوحة الطفل الصومالي شاهد حي على قدرته بأن يرسم ادق التفاصيل بكل إتقان و إبهار، و من يشاهد تفاصيل وجه الطفل يستطيع ان يرى جمال ما رسمته يداه و من يمعن النظر بالأمواج في تلك اللوحة حتما سيتبسم كما إبتسمت انبهارا بروعة رسمه! لم تكن هي اللوحة المفضلة لدي فقد سلبت انتباهي "قبلة" و التي قلت بها التفاصيل و كثرت بها الإسقاطات و المعاني، من خلال الألوان و حركة الريشة و حتى اختلاط الوجهين و دمجهما مع خلفية اللوحة. الوجوه في لوحاته غير مكتمله و تصرخ بازدواجبة الانسان تارة و بانها تكشف ما نراه من ملامحه و بالنصف الاخر من الوجه ما يكنه بداخله من مشاعر و احاسيس!

زين كتاب السيد عبد الرسول سلمان الطاولة الوحيدة الموجودة بالمعرض، و كان عبارة عن كتاب عن حياة و أعمال الفنان الراحل محمد الأيوبي، الكتاب ليس سردا لحياته فقط بل زينته لمسات من أسرته و كلمة أخته عبير التي افتتح بها الكتاب حركت بي الكثير، لم أعرف الفنان من قبل هذا المعرض و لم أعلم بان ذلك المجسم الذي زين أحد الدوارات في منطقة الأحمدي من عمله! اسعدني تقدير فيه في حياته، و لكن فقدان الأخ صعب و بشكل مفاجئ ،، عسى الله يرحمه

كان المعرض خال من الناس، سعدت بذلك الهدوء و استمتعت بلحضات بسيطة مرت بسرعة و انا اجول في تلك القاعة، و خرجت دون توقيع أحسست بالذنب، لكن لي عودة قريبة لاكون دليل سياحي لمن سمع عن المعرض مني اليوم

و خلال فرارتي الصباحية قريت هالخبر في جريدة القبس وأسعدني جدا هالاهتمام من قبل تلفزيون دبي للفن التشكيلي الكويتي و الخليجي بشكل عام الفال لتلفزيون الكويت!، برنامج "نلتقي" و الذي تقدمه الدكتورة بروين حبيب ممتع فنيا و ثقافيا، على الرغم من اني مو من متابعينه الا اني استمتعت بحلقة فاتن عبد العزيز "المبرقعة سابقا" اللي شفتها بالصدفه بس ونسني اللقاء. من اكثر الاشياء اللي كانت تثير فظولي لما اشوف برنامج نلتقي اهو اسم المذيعة! شنو يعني بروين؟

حسب ما لقيت بالنت انه اسم فارسي و يعني : متألقة

البرنامج يبيله مزاج علشان تقدره حاله من حال خليك بالبيت اللي يهتم بالفن و الثقافة، صعبة متابعته اذا ما يهمك الموضوع

Bidoun Canvas - movement!

I have been fond of Canvas for a while now, found it in random places through Kuwait and in Dubai, I found the guide before the magazine, both are issued by the same publisher/ company but vary in content. Canvas is available in many places throughout Kuwait. Canvas for me meant a revolution in attention for art in the middle east and a hope for a more art-aware society in the middle east, it highlights artists and events. UAE has the biggest chunk of the events and I hope we can get to their level, art is a part of a nation's culture.

Bidoun, that I found by coincidence! is yet an other art magazine with a weird name and a more philosophic dimension to the name. I know there might be others out there that I don't know about, but I liked to shed the light on my two next reads :)

اليوم قررت اني اشوف مسلسل نور، فشلت باني اتعدى مشهدين! شفت لما مهند بيراضي نور و اهي زعلانه و يقولون "المتابعين حولي" ان جاب لها بيت ووظيفه و سياره و اللي تبيه و هم مارضت عليه، ولي اهنيه بس ما قدرت و قمت

شنو سر متابعة الناس لهالمسلسل؟

من بعد دراسه ميدانيه تم من خلالها مسح اراء الإناث من اعمار و حالات اجتماعية مختلفه، اتضح لي ان السبب اللي اجمع عليه الغالبية هو الفقر العاطفي في مجتمعنا، فالغالبية يشوفون المسلسل علشان العلاقة الزوجيه الجميله بين نور و مهند و للرومانسيه الحيه بينهم على الرغم من زواجهم! فهل اصبحنا مجتمع يفتقر لابسط المشاعر الرومانسيه؟ و هل اصبح التعبير عن الحب يقلل من رجولة الرجل؟

ما بين صورة من ستلتقي نجوم صلالة و التي تعتبر من اعلاميات الكويت و بين قبو دبي اجد نفسي اتوق شوقا لدخول بيسمنت اللي تم افتتاحه مؤخرا و سمعت عنه كل خير و رقي، على امل ان تقوم الصالات الصغيره هنا و تحيا بين لوحات الفنانين

اغبط الاماراتيين على الصحوه الفنيه هناك، على الرغم من قلة معروضات الفنانين المحليين في المعارض التي تقام هناك الا انه من الجميل ان يكون المجتمع الاماراتي معرض للفنون من مختلف الدول، سوق الفن ليس من افضل الاسواق من ناحية الربح المادي فهو قائم على قدرة الشخص ان ينفق على امتاع ذوقه، و لكن الجانب الاهم بنظري هو تنمية ثقافة المجتمع فالفن جزء من موروث المجتمع و ثقافته الخاصه، و تقبل الفن و انتشاره من اهم عوامل تنمية الثقافة الفنية، اغبطهم عندما ارى اعلانات المعارض الفنية على قناة ون و التي ترعاها القرية الثقافية

لكن المشروع الذي سلب انفاسي عندما علمت به، هو فرع اللوفر في ابو ظبي المزمع الانتهاء منه بحلول عام ٢٠١٢ اعتقد بانه سيكون مشروع يفخر به الكل

Q8art.net is a site I rove around every once and a while and planning to invest this weekend to introduce it in a proper way :) meaning a bigger post and not just a random thought that I want to register in my "from here and there". One of the Kuwaiti artist that I wanted to see for even one time in my life was the late Khalifa Al-Qattan a very simple artist who loved art and shared that love with his lovely wife Lidia, the lack of art interest in other people around me added to my shyness gave me an excuse to not go for it and see him :) but not anymore, after he passed away I promised my self to go get me a chunk of local art as much as I can every once and a while, to appreciate what I like while its there around me and I am still alive.

مابين ما كتبه الكاتب الدعيج و ما كتبه المدون كراكتوا اجد ثغرات مختلفه كل منهم يتطرق اليها من منظوره، و بما اني اكسل من اني اعلق بشكل شافي ووافي الان و في التو و اللحظة فاترك لكم القراءة و كلام حلو يا كراكتوا و مشكلتي مع مقالة الدعيج انه دخل اعضاء مجلس الامه بالموضوع و انه توقع الاحباط منهم مو من الحكومه! يمكن لاني اهوا التركيز بصلب الموضوع بدلا من تشتيت الافكار؟ بس ايتم بوراكان وقفه اجباريه لي لما اقرا القبس
