Spoon Bending Seminar

Do you recall this post? So I decided to join the Spoon Bending Seminar, although I NEVER liked such things NOR liked those self improvement books, the how to ones?! I don't know those two subject seemed to be a turn off for me. Yet the idea of bending a spoon was funny and attracting to me and what is life with out trying everything?

That day that I paid Better Books a visit I registered in the Spoon Bending Seminar, to see whats the hype is about, since I found a lot of stuff online that confused me and many around me doubted the spoon bending issue, and some gave me the impression that it could be a trick or something to waste your money on.

I went in a bit late and was happy to know they are familiar with the Kuwaiti time :> it was a cozy 20 something people gathering, very relaxed laid back and friendly! The owner is so simple and honest that she allowed me in based on my word that I paid the cost "forgot to bring the receipt along!" She was interested with the activity more than anything.

So we got our spoons, after a short talk the seminar revolved around making us:

Relax
Concentrate
Bond
then.......
BEND!

Actually the bending was quite easy for me its the twisting that I wanted to pull off well, I wanted a swirly spoon or fork! But I got the one in this picture as the best trial to "twist" :p

The big picture is not about bending the spoon, it was about having a "Physical manifestation of connecting with your energy" as Bobby the seminar lecturer said. The ideas storming in my head were enormous! I will try to write some of them :} if they dont make much sense just comment and lets see how I can make them easier:


- Your energy field aka Aura is THERE, use it
- There is more to your mental and physical power, and its right there! You don't have to take the word of anyone on it, concentrate and find it inside
- Fear, other negative feelings we might grasp along our life, stop us from achieving, be daring and just do it



I had fun :} and I have new things to keep in my room :p

No matter what is your work field or interest in life, weather its school or work or social interests, creativity is a MUST, its the root of all greatness in life, creativity opens the doors for you to do what you want in unconventional ways that can make others around you happy and creative by effect or more enthusiastic about life in general, those 29 things are defiantly not obligatory but are VERY good to try :} I've always thought that seeing new things and exploring life creates creativity, so for a change do something new, look up something new and change how you do everyday things around you! I'm supposed to write about my experience at Melenzane, an Italian all-Kuwait restaurant and how nice the owners are, but since am out of town with very little pictures to talk about my first experience that deserves a whole post :> I decided to at least link the post P0ach has published regarding!!!!!!!!!!

V for Vendetta is one of my ALL time favorite movies :) as previously said in this post. I'm still amazed how the brilliant Alan Moore has incorporated the story of Guy Fawakes in his comic book V for Vendetta, to express how one could effect many in a simple act, done with high enthusiasm, believe and passion. I for many times wish for such a revolution, cause by those who believe in true freedom and not freedom for hidden reasons :]

Blogger Template Designer!

Blogger made my day when I logged in yesterday to see that there is a new feature added, called "Blogger Template Designer"! A very simple WAY COOL tool to design your blog without needing to know much about HTML or CSS, It is as simple as copying and pasting, mixing and matching :]

I have been wanting to change my blog template but wanted to do it on my own, I managed to add a few codes here & there, a little font and color change but that was it :p So now am in between keeping my blog the same way it was 6 years ago "in about a month my beloved blog will be 6!" or change things a bit?

In the meantime I will enjoy playing with my template designer :p Now I can simply expand the posting space without going through the coding hustle :p so I can post large videos for a change :D

While browsing through Merriam Webster online Dictionary I came across the latest top ten list called "words from the Bible":

1. Kiss of Death: kiss of death was given by Judas to Jesus. It identified Jesus for the arresting soldiers who would send him to his crucifixion.

2. Feet of Clay : The prophet Daniel deciphered the king's vision, observing that the feet of clay signified weakness. (Daniel 2:42)

Catching up with movies is probably THE BEST activity I can think of for the upcoming weekend/holiday that will start on Thursday 25th of February till Monday 1st of March :> The initial list "more will be added later" is as follows:

The last two I have seen before, I go back to "as good as it gets" to remember that there must be something(s) nice in the worst people you can ever meet :} and "you've got mail" to remember the age where e-mail was revolutionary, anonymity allowed two people on the opposite sides to unbiasedly see each other, that there are tolerable differences we can live with, and that we can virtually pass over and see the beauty in each other :}

Yet another amazing piece of work from Hayao Miyazaki the writer and director of this movie. The original movie name in Japanese is (崖の上のポニョ, Gake no Ue no Ponyo - meaning : Ponyo on the Cliff) the plot is around the love between a tiny fish-girl "like" creature and a little boy. The movie is filled with Hayao's wit and symbolism, and again as in Princess Mononoky "but less intense" he holds up a mirror through his story and movie, in which he showed us how much humans pollute the sea and how the balance of the nature can be caused by a simple act.

Ponyo is an incredibly cute and enjoyable movie, we went to the 1.30 pm show and were very surprised to see that we are the ONLY ones over there, LOL! 3 seats only! sorry for the crappy picture but the others are worse lol, not sure what was on the lens though! it only appeared in this pic :/



We really loved Ponyo, mostly the cuteness of the characters really got into us :D Ponyo made us laugh on her spontaneity. I think Disney made a great investment in Hayao's work :)
