5th of November

This year I remembered :p on time!

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

V for Vendetta is one of my all time favorite movies! I thank them for letting me know who is Guy Fawkes and what is The Gunpowder Plot. A movie among very less that made me really think! I loved the symbolism and the transformation for the story to fit our current world :> If you did not see it, NOW you should.

Its funny how in the UK they hardly celebrate anything at all, and here they are celebrating this !!!

They don't have a national (or liberation) day as they were the aggressors throughout history, the only days off (in addition to xmas and new year's) are what they call "bank holidays"

However, what the occasion symbolizes makes it really interesting.

I certainly haven't forgotten the 5th of November since my first November in the UK. :)
