well ... i love magazines too for the same exact reasons .... but but but that doesn't mean we have good magazines in Kuwait!!!
it is really sad that the content quality of our magazines is very very LOW,
tell me, compare two magazines, one international and one local and see the big difference in content!

As for magazines in Kuwait i also agree with you on that! we do have a lack of good readable media, however still there are a few good magazines that i do like to read form time to time, in general the fashion/women field is not too hard to find magazines about. However there are periodical magazines that are issued by
المجلس الوطني للثقافة و الفنون و الآداب
which is a very nice one but rare to find around bookstores.
There is no comparison between local & external magazines, i think still jornalism in Kuwait needs a lot and needs to be more uptodate

i used to read english titles, but since the new THOUQ magazine came out in Kuwait i become amazed by the effort of young kuwaitis behind this elegant magazine.

Yep I like Thouq too! I wrote a post about it a long wile ago, true nice effords built it
Agreed there is a certain je ne sais quoi about Thouq but does it stand a chance against Sameer Reddy's " Alef"?
Putting aside fashion magazines and photo-journals are there any local magazines of substance that journalists in Kuwait can aspire to?

as for other magazines aspiring authors! i dont think there should b a mag. that aspires writers its the writers that should lift up the level of q80-fashion mag.s i hope to see more alef's & thouq's in q8 :D
