ليش البخورعندي غير بالشتى مادري؟ اهتم فيه و احبّه بزود بالشتى

شغف يتجدد بالكتب و حبها، مع محاولتي على ان اقرأها كلها بالوقت المناسب

عوده خجوله لي بعالم المدونات، الفرق هو اتساع الشرائح التي تحويها المدونات الكويتية، و كثرة عددها و جودة العديد منها تجعل المتابعه لمجرياتها صعبه، لكن الظاهره تسعدني على الرغم من غياب و اعتزال الكثيرين ممن احب ان اتابع مدوناتهم و افكارهم

بدايه جديده مع هذا العام الجديد و نهاية صفحة طال انتظاري لطيها، احلى شي اني طلعت و انا باذله كل اللي اقدر عليه و مو متحسفه :) مع ان "مابي اقول خسرت!" خل اقول ضاعت مني فرص ذهبيه و اشخاص ما يتعوضون، الا اني اقول الحمد لله و ان شاء الله اذا لي شي بهالدنيا باخذه

فقدان الاعصاب شيء سيئ جداً و بالذات مع اشخاص ما يستاهلون، العذر قد يصلح الامور بس شيفكني من الاحساس بالذنب! اعتبر اني خذيت درس اليوم و درس قوي و لازم اتحكم بنفسي حتى لو كنت متشبعه تحكم بنفسي

My favorite three chefs since I tuned into BBCFOOD ::

1- Jamie Oliver : The Naked Chef

I love his simplicity in recipes & in life :D very close to the current internet, in his site he has interesting sections: Diary, moblog, .. etc he even has a PODCAST!!! since I am into the podcast world lately so it works perfect for me :D

2- James Martin

Well looks wise he is cute and innocent! *back to reality* cooking wise what I like mostly about him is the creativity part, I mostly loved him in the show 123 cook, also his love for original British food with a creative neat touch.

3- Nigella Lawson

I like her lovely smile :D and of course about her cooking I like the mix between different flavors also the simplicity in her dishes attracts me.

The Tea Boy of Gaza

Today Saturday 20.1.2006 I saw this an episode of the show called "The World Uncovered" on BBC, it was called : The Tea Boy of Gaza

Saturday 20th January at 1210 GMT Repeated: Saturday 20th at 2010 and Sunday 21st at 0210, 0810 and 1710 GMT

Mahmoud is a 12-year-old boy who supports his family by selling tea in Gaza's biggest hospital. He struggles to make a living on the wards and has to avoid the shoot-outs that occur inside the hospital itself.
Filmed before and during the recent Israeli re-occupation of the Gaza Strip, this observational documentary uses Mahmoud's experiences, as well as remarkable access inside the Hamas prime minister's office, to show the reality of life under the new Hamas government..... etc

What I liked about this documentary is that it shows us the real situation over there, not the fake image that other Arabic! News channels show. I hate politics to the BONE but I could not help this show because it gave me a clear view of how is it there, inside Palestine, in Gaza. I stopped being interested in that issue since the Iraqi invasion to Kuwait, since the Palestinian government & most Palestinians "not all BUT the MAJORITY" supported Sadaam's occupation of Kuwait!

It is not easy to have your country occupied nor having an other MUSLIM, ARAB approve it! Still I sympathized with their situation as humans and Muslims. Back to the documentary still as the Dr mentioned in the documentary its their choice to support Hamas and they are willing to suffer more until they get their freedom, and in that show they let you see how is life over there in a simple plain way.

I liked the inside view of the real Palestine because it showed how people over there are in a messy situation, new leadership coping with the fact that they are leading a whole country. A moment of silence made me think how can people who live in an occupied country for this long, who know the agony of loosing your identity/ dignity/ people/ lives, being rejected from other countries (Jordan one of them I was there in that summer & we were rejected by many people! as a try from my father to find us a place to stay since we did not know how long will the invasion last! he tried to rent an apartment and I never forget the man who said : انا ما بأجرش كويتيين - I do not rent any apartment to Kuwaitis) how can they approve of the Iraqi invasion to Kuwait back in 1990?. I do not have a heart full of hate but I can not forget the deep wounds, especially if they touched my land & people.

A show worth watching.

خشمك عملية؟

مواقف متعدده تصادف وحده قريبه حيييييييل لي بالسؤال عن ما اذا كان خشمها صجي ولا عمليه! والعامل المشترك بين السائلين هو افتراض العملية مسبقا

"خشم فلانه عمليه صح؟" سيدا بدون تفكير!؟

صارت كلمة فلانه مسويه عملية تجميل عادية و فخر! بالإضافة لأنها علامة من علامات ان هالبنيه "ستايل" و هم انه عندها فلوس، الجواب المعتاد من هالبنيه اهو "لاء خشمي طبيعي مو تجميل"، مع العلم انه واضح ان خشمها ما تم تجميله بعمليات لان هذا خشم كل من بعايلتنا من طرف الوالدة المهم والقصد افتراض اللي يشتهيه الشخص مو زين بكل الحالات لان زود التفطحل مو زين و يوهق ساعات، و هم ليش محد راضي عن نفسه بشكله الحالي؟ يعني لازم الخشم يصير مصقول؟ او الشفايف محدده؟ اشفيها الطبيعة اللي الله خلقنا عليها؟ ولا الجمال صار عندنا مقرون بقدرة عمليات التجميل؟ خلاص ماكو شي طبيعي !!؟؟

في حال وجود خلل بالوظائف الطبيعية للجسم ناتج عن تشوه عضو، يعني مثلا قنوات التنفس بالخشم فيها خلل او تشوه كبير بسبب طبي او حادث عرضي أو هالعضو من الجسم مشوه بشكل كبير يأثر على حياة الانسان الإجتماعيه أايد التجميل مافيها شي بس مسألة والله خشمي مو عاجبني ابيه يصير نفس خشم فلانه فا هذا عبط، تقبل الذات أول خطوه علشان نكون بشر

Dsquared Spring 2007 Ready to wear

I was attracted to their color combination, where plain every day (beig, blue, white, navy and pink) are well mixed in their outfits along with a golden touch, reminds me a little about Versace's collections in the 90's except Versace "Gianni that is" went a little to the edge with the extreme gold & satin! creating strong shinny colored outfits!

This Dsquared collection is very nice and I think will be great to wear or at least follow the general pattern they proposed. Here are some highlights

After Ali & Musaed aka "The Deera Chat family" introduced me to the podcast world that I did not know of or let's say did not care much to check out :D now I became intrested more & more in it, I even updated my side bar with two of my favorite sites who have podcasts (Style.com & Shopvogue.com) since Vogue is one of the monthly must haves for me :> & Style.com is an online portal for all of the latest fashion shows & has huge archives of precious fashion shows, trends,,, you name it :D

Al-Fanar 2006/2007 Winter Decoration

I love Al-Fanar's decoration always attracts me, this winter they had this lovely decoration, the best thing about it is that it concentrates on the main hip new colors to pair (Gold + Purple) this couple was hip from the last year and still, it was introduced widely in different fashion shows/ brands.... Of course different shades of (Gold + Purple) will change the equation and make it suit a lot of purposes/ people/ skin colors! you name it

Even if I can get my stuff from an other complex/ mall that has more shops that I need, Al-Fanar is a must go to every week or two :)

I fixed it!

كان عندي مشكله بالكمبيوتر و حيرتني فتره طويييله و لاني وحده عنيده لازم احل المشكله بنفسي و استنفذ كل الحيل و العقل اللي عندي بعدين افكر باللجوء إلى الفنيين المختصين و هم لاني اؤمن بفكرة ان الحياة اتعلّم أحب اكرف عمري و استفيد، و في ليلة اليأس و القرار بأن أحل مشكلتي عند المختصين صباح اليوم الأحد! انحلت المشكله بعد جهد جهيد و زيارة لمواقع مللتني بس النتيجه خلتني انسى اللي تعبته خلال ساعتين :) و لهذا قررت اكتب هالحادثة باللجهة اللي انا نفسي ما ادري اهي عاميه ولا فصحى! بس المهم انها من قلبي

بالنهاية اكتشفت اني ما ادري وين دقمه حيوية! و بعد مالقيتها تميت افكر هل كل اللي سويته كان له داعي ولا لاء؟ مادري ولا راح ادري بس تعلمت درس مهم اليوم

Brain storming

Recently since am in a vacation, there are moments where I get a zillion ideas at once! Which are all brilliant, but do not do them all! I lose focus and end up forgetting them.... I need to start writing them I need to realize that I have a very short memory @,@

My first post in "Topics from 192 Countries"

Today I published my first post in the "Topics from192 Countries blog" , I wrote it about 3 days ago but today I had the time to publish it :} since yestrday "the day I was hoping that I can post in!!" the internet got dissconnected from the afternoon till late night :(

but its done & uploaded now :D I wrote about Kuwait Towers since they are the first thing that pops into my mind when I want to show Kuwait to a forigner :)

Deera-Chat !!!!!!!!

I got an e-mail today form the Deera-Chat family "as they call them selves" to advertise for their PodCast :} as soon as I checked their blog out

I found this tiny introduction right on the right hand bar saying ::

Podcasting, a portmanteau of Apple's "iPod" and "broadcasting", is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically by subscription, usually at no cost. It first became popular in late 2004, used largely for audio files.


Soooooo as usual I had no time! "mother needs me as her driver" so quickly I clicked the tiny box up on the side bar saying "Subscribe with iTunes" ,, immediately the download in iTunes starts, hooked my NaNo got the PodCast "as if am a pro with this new to me! مصطلح " heard it.



The PodCast "again am showing off that I know a new مصطلح " is called [ The REAL sushi episode] I will not ruin it by saying what it was about & how the conversation went, however I have my notes:

• Two Kuwaiti guys talking in a simple free every day kind of chat way, but it was fun :}
• Its exciting to hear a simple conversation & personal opinions about a common "phenomenon" if I may say that about what they discussed.
• A change from the usual blog theme where you rely on ur reading abilities.
• What I mostly liked is the Arabic-English mix with a Kuwaiti accent, felt very close and young.

I am totally pro this new hip thing :) I liked it I encourage every one to hear it, listen to What Musaed & Ali has to say. As they stated in their FIRST PodCast that they are open for suggestions on topics to talk about...

I never tried Sushi and probably after this I will try it seriously, sure I ate a few bites but not like a serious SUSHI dinner although its hip nowadays but I didn't!! However I can't resist commenting on what Musaed kept advising us to try the TEBENyakki I mean Musaed if you want to let me think of eating Sushi at least start with like a 3ASSALyakki, ZALABYAyakki, I mean I was like HUH!! ok cultural difference, then it comes again & again oo Musaed raves about how great this TEBENyakki is & am laughing my head off , I mean no offence to the Sushi I know the name was not intended but what can I do, I have a Kuwaiti twisted mind? Still I think am curious enough to try it out....

I got lucky to be randomly picked to represent Kuwait by Mr. Shinji from Tokyo, Japan "Thank you". I may not be the best person to do this but I will try my best. This project is very unique & interesting to me, since its a young one & done by common everyday type of people it is fun & not as intimidating as it may seem when you come to think of representing your country :)

I will try to be simple & Handel the main lines about Kuwait, will not go through politics or any other controversial issues. The assistance & suggestions from all Kuwaiti bloggers is more than welcome in fact its why I wrote this post :} I will need & appreciate your help.....


The idea behind 192 countries is to gather 192 writers (bloggers) from 192 countries to talk a little about their countries & know a little about other countries. This project lets the saying "the world is a small village" become a reality in a simple virtual mean of communication.

What to blog about

Politics is on the top of the list but I'm trying haaaard to avoid it!

I do not know weather its a curse that comes along with age! All I know is that I hate it because its a big dirty game controlled by people we do not have much effect on. However what made me feel good is that the people's voice did change things, it was pretty loud.

بس هذا حدي ما ابي ادش بتفاصيل بعد

As for Kuwait weather wise! It is truly amazing this time of the year :} my advice to all ENJOY it to the maaaaaax, we will not have this weather for looong 9 months.




The WHITE psp has been my pal for the past two moths, its a new good gadget & its all white :} LOCOROCO made me buy it in the begging (I finished the whole game in a week, noting that my last game addiction was with SEGA of course SONIC ;p so am pretty old dated with this), soon it became my number 1 entertainment tool with its browsing ability & playing/storing different kinds of media made it a great addition to my day.
